Hi all,
I’m currently transitioning from a self managed and hosted site to a new managed platform and am really liking just about everything WordPress has to offer. My only gripe is with SSL certificates… I understand that WP sites are secured with Let’s Encrypt by default, but this isn’t satisfactory for my organisation.
Our current site uses a COMODO RSA Extended Validation certificate and I want to use this on my WordPress site. I’ve done some Googling and seen the articles about plugins like Really Simple SSL, etc., and adding my current domain to WP and altering the .htaccess file via FTP, but I can’t test if this will work for sure until paying for a yearly plan – but I’m not interested in investing in WP unless I can add my own certificate.
Can anybody help with this or confirm the plugins like Really Simple SSL and/or .htaccess modification will allow me to install my own certificate?
I am aware of the .com vs .org discussion/question; we need the features of .com, with our own SSL cert.
Thank you
